Royal Mail Strike Action - August 2022

Hello everyone, during late 2022 there are a number of strikes planned by Royal Mail and a Bank Holiday (19th September 2022) which may result in late deliveries during this period. Please see the Royal Mail website linked below for official information on strike dates and Royal Mails own contingency plans:

Prestige Hair Extensions will remain open Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays) as normal during this period.  Throughout the strike period we will be offering a ‘next working day’ courier service from DHL.

Royal Mail will not collect your orders from us on Strike days which will lead to delays. Royal Mail will prioritise Special Delivery items for delivery, but don't have enough support to ensure all are delivered next day. In our experience this will very likely lead to backlogs and subsequent delays on none strike days.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accurately predict when Royal Mail items will be delivered until the strike action has ended and backlogs are cleared.

There are days between strikes where Royal Mail will guarantee your order, for this reason we have left Royal Mail delivery options available on our website. If you order on one of these days and fail to receive your item on time, please contact our customer services as we may be able to refund your delivery costs.

We strongly recommend anyone needing their items quickly select DHL at checkout, as this option will be the most reliable during this period.

We have changed the shipping options available to UK customers to the following:

Royal Mail £7.50 *Not Guaranteed Due to Strike Action*
DHL Express £12.99 *Next Working Day*

We have tried hard to negotiate a cheaper price with DHL, but they are a more expensive courier, and we may only be using their services temporarily to cover the Royal Mail strike action. If this DHL service is popular, we may keep it long term.

Please ensure you order as far in advance as possible during this period to avoid any potential disappointment from strike induced delays to your orders.
